Silho Cake Mix is a lace mix made to compliment Silho Cake Lace Mats or may be used with any other brand of Lace Mat. Once dry, it will remain flexible and pliable, allowing you to bend your designs around the sides of tiered cakes. Easy to use with full instructions included.

  • Volume of Rose Gold Mix: 250 grams/ 8.82 ounces
  • Storage: If stored between parchment paper in a box, somewhere cool and dry, the finished designs will remain useable and flexible up to the expiry date on the pot, so even if you don’t have to use it straight away, you can save it for later!

Instructions

  • Directions for use:
  • 50g water
  • 50g Silho Cake mix part A (dry mix)
  • 3g part B (liquid mix)
  • Add first 2 ingredients together and mix on medium for 2 minutes. Add part B and mix for 5 minutes on high. Use the Silho Cake scraper to smooth the mixture over the mat ensuring you have a good coverage.
  • Dry mould in 80 C (175 F) oven for approximately 15 minutes. Cool and carefully remove decorations from the mat. Alternatively, air dry for approximately 8 hours. Depending on the level of humidity, both drying procedures may vary.
  • Attach to fondant cakes with a light spray of water or steam the surface. Pre-prepared Silho Cake may be stored between baking paper for up to 3 months in cool dry conditions.
